I am a mother now of a recently turned 9 year old and a 3 year old. Where has the time gone? Pretty soon my oldest will be going out on dates lol
He recently got glasses. I guess that’s one of the genes he got from me.

My 3 yr. old’s hair is growing out again but not curly, bummer.

He likes to take pics lol

Here we are

Today I tried to finish some projects on my list. So I did two make up brush rolls for my supervisor.

Christmas is almost here and we have no christmas tree yet. I really don’t know if I can get any at all but I can only hope.
I won this ornaments in an auction from http://hyenacart.com/littleknittles/

I also have this tradition since my oldest was born that every christmas I would buy an ornament with the year on it. Somehow I never bought the ones from when my boys were born and as I was browsing Hyena Cart I found this store http://hyenacart.com/PattyNaps/ selling the cutes custom made cloth diaper ornaments. So I ordered two and they are TDF!

Let see if I can keep updating this lol.

Well, I made my 1st trip to Ikea and I have to say that they catalog does not do it justice LOL, My mom went a couple of months ago and brought me bag their catalog and I thought everything was ugly and overpriced. Was I shocked when I went in person. Yes, there are some ugly things there LOL but most of the stuff was awesome. I bough myself a table top with adjustable legs so I can make it as higher as I need it for cutting, tracing patterns and fabric. I love my new table.

As soon as I get more funds lol I plan on getting a small table to do my actual sewing.
Then I also did my 1st shirt. It is not the greatest but I know the next one will be better.

I also did a dress for a friend’s 3 year old daughter.

I was born in Cuba and came to the US at 13 yrs. old. As some of you might know mostly everything in Cuba is outdated, from cars, to electronics, to the buildings. I remember my grandma having a vintage sewing machine like this one

Never in a million years did I think that I would be sewing myself. It would be the coolest to go to Cuba right now and bring it back LOL. But I wonder if the government would let me?

A tote that was supposed to be for my older son’s teacher will be staying with me because I am not satisfied with how it ended up. It is still cute and nice but not gift quality.

And my last big piece of this fabric. There are some scraps to make smaller things but not enough for clothing for me. So here it is.

I need to tweak the design a little but I think it ended up ok for my 1st try and without a pattern.

My grandma is one of those ladies that likes to always carry stuff with her and buy a couple of things whenever she goes out. When she does this she carries this very big and ugly bag. I decided to make a cloth grocery bag that rolls up so she can keep her purse organized. I used this pattern.

For my sister in law I made a wristlet using this pattern.

A wrislet for my mother.
