I Will Rise….

Enjoy your new Home, Mary and baby Anaya….

Mary was a member of an online community that I belong to. She and her unborn child (her 11th baby!) passed away this week. If you’d like to contribute to the cause she was dedicated to, please visit the mission’s site.

Or….get out into your local community. Feed the hungry. Clothe the naked. Minister to the hopeless. Let her example inspire you…

There’s a peace I’ve come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There’s an anchor for my soul
I can say “It is well”

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles’ wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

There’s a day that’s drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles’ wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
“Worthy is the Lamb”
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
“Worthy is the Lamb”
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
“Worthy is the Lamb”
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
“Worthy is the Lamb”

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles’ wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

It is well with my soul…

Listening to the incomparable Ginny Owens singing “It is well with my soul” from her new album…you know, sometimes familiarity breeds contempt – the whole prophet without honor in his own country thing. But even though I’m proud to call her a friend, her music still has the power to bless and minister to me.

If you don’t have her new hymns album “Say Amen”, you should go get it now. So pretty!
