Snow, Snow, and More Snow

Oh, boy. I think we’ve had enough snow now. We’ve had 3 big storms in less than a week, and that equals a lot of shoveling. I’d be excited about having a white Christmas, but we won’t be here & I don’t know how white it is in Virginia.

OK – the baby’s asleep; I should do some packing…..

Traveling for the Holidays

We’re getting ready to travel down south for the holidays. We’ll be visiting my dad and stepmom in Virginia, and my sister and her husband will be flying in. It’s going to be an interesting trip, for sure! We’ve driven down there before with the dog, but never traveled this far with the dog and the baby.

And when I say “getting ready”, what I really mean is “blogging” :) Well, I have one shirt packed for the baby and a list of his clothing that needs to be packed. That’s a start!

Roy isn’t feeling well today, so he stayed home, and the baby is miraculously napping without me by his side. I feel rather lost when that happens since I spend most of the day holding him or wearing him in the Bjorn or the Mei Tai.

Winter Wonderland

Talk about a winter wonderland! In addition to all the snow from Thursday, we’ve had quite a few more inches dumped on top of it. That coupled with zero visibility and the fact that the streets don’t appear to have been plowed, we will not make it to church today. I’ve already started some coffee, threw a loaf of homemade gluten-free squash raisin bread in the oven, and I’m sure they’ll be more baking later today.

Maybe later today, I’ll post some pictures :)

Yesterday, some friends of ours volunteered to watch the bear so Roy & I could go out & celebrate our anniversary (5 years on Friday!). We had a great time. And Roy just yelled out from the other room that the baby rolled over for the 1st time!

It’s Snowing!

Good thing I walked the dog and ran my errands, but it is officially starting to snow. And it’s supposed to snow quite a bit.

I took a very cute picture of Baby Bear with my phone, but I discovered the only way I can get the pictures off my new (well, new to me, it’s a hand-me-down) phone is to e-mail them to myself, and I’ve disabled web capabilities on my cell plan. Oh, well!

blogging, everyday life

This is my new blog :)

This is my new blog! My blog on my site was so inundated with spam comments that I couldn’t keep up with moderating them. I’m hoping I’ll be able to control it better here.
