So our new study area…
I know I mentioned the new study area our handyman was making us, so I thought I would add a few pictures of the transformation. And at the same time do a quick plug for our amazing handyman, Alan, who had done so much for us since we moved here. His quality of work is excellent and we highly recommend him to everyone. So this is the before picture

Fairly ordinary, not enough desk space and certianly no storage to speak of. This is the after picture

The picture isn’t great but we got a kitchen worktop and put it along the whole length of the wall, that way we can comfortably get 4 computers on it. The shelf space should be more then adequate for all our papers, Paul’s university work and Eden’s schoolwork. I’m so excited. Yes, storage excites me!!! It means everything will have a home and we won’t be living in chaos anymore. I will add another picture when it is lal set up.
Our Narnian surprise
A week or so before we moved into our new house the real estate agent mentioned how the sellers had a mahogany cupboard in the loft that they didn’t want. I figured it would be convenient to have some extra storage space in the loft and promptly forgot about it. Two months after we got the keys, the plumbers working on the bathroom made a comment about it looking like Narnia up in our loft. I wasn’t really sure what they were on about so went up the ladder and had a peek. Boy was I surprised. Look what we found.
This picture was taken once it had been clean up and moved into our bedroom but it matches our bed, which is amazing! That saved us having to go out and buy more furniture.
Eden’s first wage
This was so cute!!! Alan, our handyman, came round the other day to build us a study area. Eden was desperate to help out and he was kind enough to not get annoyed but let her hold the pencil and mark the wall where he needed to drill holes.

Then to top it off, when he left he gave her a fiver, for all her hard work! She felt very grown up.

Want to know how we cope with rainy days…
I try not to complain to much. But when we’ve had our 2nd week of constant rain during what was supposed to be our BBQ summer even the most positive person can go a bit stir crazy. So we try to keep busy. We do the usual, painting, reading, playing (duplo is the current favorite) and having movie days.

Scooting in the drive

Playing in a random box
And when all else fails I send them outside to play in the rain.
Hello world!
We have moved to a brand new home, at some point I’ll move my old blog over here. Hope everyone enjoys our new surroundings!
